asked the Minister of Housing and Local Govern-what are the provisions of the Smithfield Market byelaws approved by him relating to the licensing of bummarees and porters; for how long these byelaws have been in operation; and what changes have been made in them since before the war.

The current provisions are those embodied in the byelaws approved in February, 1953, which amended the original byelaws of 1877. I am placing copies of both documents in the Library.
