108. Mr. Popplewell

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what percentage of the work on widening the road from Newcastle boundary to Chapel House, Throckley, remains to be completed; and whether he will give an estimated date as to when such completion will be achieved.

About 70 per cent. I hope the work will be completed by the spring of next year.
