Mr. Teelingasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies why the protest of the Malta Nationalist Party about the conduct of the Governor and the Lieutenant-Governor of Malta, sent to the Colonial Secretary on Monday, 30th January, had not been answered by 8th February; and why no copies were available for placing in the House of Commons Library.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe protest was answered on 7th February. A copy of the protest was placed in the Library of the House on the day on which my hon. Friend requested it; a copy of the reply,264W which was made by the Governor, in accordance with normal procedures, was placed in the Library on the 13th of February.
