asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will make a statement about an appointment to the vacant post of Zone Controller of the Western Civil Defence Zone.

Yes. I have appointed Mr. W. Hope Collins to be Zone Controller of the Western Civil Defence Zone in succession to the late Mr. John McAslan, O.B.E., D.L., J.P.
