asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many public bodies were granted personal interviews by him when he visited Hong Kong; and, of these, how many demanded an elected element in the Legislative Council.

My right hon. Friend received deputations from seven public bodies. Of these, two asked for an elected element.
