§ Mr. Russellasked the Postmaster-General the approximate circulation of the Post Office Magazine; and what efforts have been made to obtain more advertisements in order to offset the cost of printing.
Dr. HillDuring the past six months net sales have averaged 130,369 copies a month. Advertisement revenue has been increased nearly three times in the past four years, by the acceptance of loose insets which neither increase printing costs nor restrict editorial space. I am, however, examining the position again to see whether further improvement is possible.
