§ 57. Mr. Kenyonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if his attention has been drawn to complaints regarding the decision of the Milk Marketing Board to close the grass-drying plant at Whalley, Lancashire; and, in view of the difficulties which this would cause to farmers in the area, whether he will consult with the Board with a view to having this decision reconsidered.
Mr. AmoryI am aware that some local farmers are concerned about the Milk Marketing Board's decision to close this plant. This is however a matter within the discretion of the Milk Marketing Board and I have informed the Board of the hon. Member's Question.
