HC Deb 21 November 1955 vol 546 c67W
15. Dr. King

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance what would be the annual cost of conceding the claim of the British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association for an extra allowance for the ageing limbless ex-Service men.

Brigadier Smyth

I presume the hon. Member has in mind the claim for an additional 10s. a week for 100 per cent. disablement and proportionately smaller amounts for other degrees of disablement. The annual cost of applying such an increase to all 1914-War limbless pensioners, if it could be restricted to them, would be about £400,000.
