§ 86. Mr. Bottomleyasked the First Lord of the Admiralty to make a statement about the tampering with the oil supply in the port main gearing of H.M.S. "Grenville" in the Royal Naval Dockyard, Chatham.
§ Commander NobleDuring the refit of Her Majesty's Ship "Grenville" at Chatham Dockyard, sand was discovered in the oil supply to the port main gearing. Careful inquiries have been made but I am not at present in a postion to indicate any firm conclusions. No damage was caused.
