§ Sir. W. MoncktonI regret that the information desired is not available. The present Interim Index of Retail Prices was revised in January, 1952. Although the all-items index figure can be linked to the figures in the earlier series, based on June, 1947, =100, any attempt to link the separate indices for the component groups of the index would give misleading results.
