HC Deb 14 February 1955 vol 537 c6W
63. Mr. Swingler

asked the Minister of Health what proposals for the installation of radio-telephone equipment in county ambulances have been submitted to him by the Staffordshire health authority; and why he has refused to accept these proposals.

Miss Hornsby-Smith

The authority has submitted a scheme to operate from nine fixed stations. My right hon. Friend is advised that so large a number of stations is operationally unsound and extravagant. He is prepared to consider revised proposals.
