Mrs. Jegerasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will authorise further investigation into the use of at least part of the Kingsway Tunnel for car parking, particularly in view of the increasing commercial and office building in the locality.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterAs I told the hon. Member for Dartford (Mr. Dodds) on 27th January, I have had a look at this tunnel. Although it would be possible to use it for a limited amount of car parking, the cost per vehicle parked would be little less than £2,000 per car.
