Hudsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, since President Eisenhower has announced the intention of the United States of America. irrespective of obligations to act only in conformity with the Statutes of the United Nations, to defend Formosa and the Pescadores, he will indicate to the United States of America that this country cannot take the risk of permitting the maintenance of large United States military installations in this country and near London.
