§ Mr. W. Yatesasked the Minister of Education, in view of report No. P35/23857, especially paragraph 1 of Her Majesty's Inspector of Schools and Education on 28th June, 1955, on St. Patrick's Roman Catholic School, Wellington, Shropshire, which shows that both the building itself as well as the sanitary arrangements therein are inadequate for so many children, and since the school must take in at least 40 more children by Easter, 1956, if he will now permit a proper school to 342W be built in accordance with the full plans which have been in his department for eight years.
§ Sir D. EcclesI cannot for the present agree to the complete replacement of this school, but, in order to relieve the pressure of numbers, I have agreed that an instalment of the new school should be built, and I hope that this will soon be put in hand.
