§ Mr. J. J. Astorasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much was paid out in 1953 and in 1954 in grant aids for small scale composite schemes for the improvement of farmland in the United Kingdom under the Marginal Production Scheme.
Mr. AmoryThe payments made during the financial years 1953–54 and 1954–55 for these schemes in Great Britain were respectively £1,420,266 and £1,726,238. The Northern Irish marginal production Regulations do not provide for composite schemes of farm improvement.
