Mr. Mayhewasked the Minister of Education whether her attention has been drawn to the views on commercial television expressed by the National Union of Teachers, the Workers' Education Association, the Association of Education Committees, the Association of Assistant Mistresses, the Educational Institute for Scotland, the National Adult School Union, the British Federation of University Women, the National Union of Women Teachers, and the Vice-Chancellors of 14 universities which have been sent to her; and what consultations she has had with educational authorities and representatives of parents and teachers on this subject.
§ Miss HorsbrughThe first three bodies mentioned and the National Union of Women Teachers have written to me expressing their views. The Association of Education Committees has also presented its views to me orally.
