Mr. Morley

asked the Minister of Education how many schools or departments are without canteens or school meals.

My latest information relates to a day in October, 1953, when the children of 799 schools or departments out of a total of 29,478 had no facilities for getting a school meal.

Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Minister of Education the number of children taking school meals on an appropriate day in November, 1951, and the comparative number for a day in November, 1953.
