§ Mr. Patrick Maitlandasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation why he has approved the expenditure of 246W nearly three times as much money on classified roads in the area of the new town of East Kilbride as on all other trunk and classified roads in Lanarkshire since 1950.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe approval of thisexpenditure on classified roads in East Kilbride has been in conformity with the policy of providing for the construction of classified roads in new towns to the extent that such roads are necessary for the planned development of these towns.
