§ 120. Mr. Shinwellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware that tenants of houses in new towns, where no local authority as yet exists, are unable to bring their complaints before elected representatives; and whether, in such circumstances, he will agree to intervene when tenants seek to have their grievances remedied.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanIt is my experience that the new town corporations themselves are at all times ready to receive representations from tenants and to consider them carefully and sympathetically. I do not consider that it would be in the general interest for me to intervene further in the day to day work of the Corporations.
