asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has now reached a decision about the future of Lakenheath Fen.

Sir T. Dugdale

Yes. I have now decided not to proceed with the proposal of the Agricultural Land Commission for the purchase of some 2,050 acres of Lakenheath Fen. The 1,750 acres still held under requisition will be derequisitioned in December this year after the present tenancies have expired.
