asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount received each month by his Department from the Pool Betting Duty on greyhound racing totalisator bets during 1953; whether the year's total is an increase or decrease on the total sum collected from this source in 1952; and whether the 1953 figure is above or below the estimated return.
