HC Deb 14 December 1954 vol 535 c112W
65. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will consider establishing a Remploy factory to meet the needs of the densely-populated areas of South Staffordshire.

Mr. Watkinson

I am glad to say there are comparatively few unemployed severely disabled persons in this area and that there is at present no justification for a Remploy factory.

66. Mr. H. Johnson

asked the Minister of Labour when the building of the Remploy factory will be commenced on the site reserved for such factory at Lower Beyendean, Brighton.

Mr. Watkinson

I regret that Remploy Limited are not yet in a position to add to the number of their factories. The number of unemployed disabled persons in Brighton has continued to fall.
