§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerRepresentations have been made from time to time on various aspects of military and civil pensions of members of the former Indian Government Services.
§ Mr. J. J. Astorasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations if he will press the Indian Government to authorise an immediate anticipatory payment in respect of the widow's pension due to Mrs. J. A. D. Riordan, of 94, Tavistock Road, Plymouth, because, owing to the delay in paying the balance of the pension and gratuity due to her husband, the late Mr. J. A. D. Riordan, she is now unable to exist without National Assistance.
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerI am glad to be able to inform my hon. Friend that a special payment of Rs.75 per month has now been sanctioned in favour of the widow pending final settlement of her husband's dues.
