§ 121. Mr. Skeffingtonasked the Minister of Food why directions to discontinue using certain supplies of dried milk in connection with school meals in London were not given until 23rd July, although outbreaks of food poisoning, believed due to the same source of infection, occurred in two places in Surrey on 10th July.
Dr. HillMy right hon. and gallant Friend has no power to give such directions. But immediately sufficient evidence was available to warrant it the buyers were advised to stop the use of the suspected consignments.
