asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will issue licences for the importation of Disston cross-cut saws.

Mr. Amory

A licence permitting the import of a Disston cross-cut saw from the United States would be issued only if it were required for a special purpose for which a British or other non-dollar crosscut saw was not suitable.
