HC Deb 26 November 1953 vol 521 c79W
102. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Minister of Education what progress has been made in connection with the provision of a school for spastic children in Cardiff.

Miss Horsbrugh

I have no proposal before me to provide a school for spastic children in Cardiff, though a school to be provided for physically handicapped children in South Wales which is included in this year's programme, will take a number of spastics.

Dr. King

asked the Minister of Education if she will issue a report on the progress being made in various parts of the country in providing education for spastic children.

Miss Horsbrugh

The report of my Chief Medical Officer for the years 1950 and 1951 includes a chapter on the education and treatment of children suffering from cerebral palsy. I have asked him to review the further progress made in his report for the years 1952 and 1953.
