HC Deb 26 November 1953 vol 521 cc75-6W
90. Captain Ryder

asked the Minister of Health the numbers of motor propelled tricycles now on issue to war disabled pensioners and to National Health Service patients; and if he will define the differences in the regulations and conditions of eligibility which afford preference or priorities for war disabled pensioners.

Mr. Iain Macleod

The numbers are 1,530 and 7,167, respectively, in England and Wales. Certain severely disabled war pensioners may receive motor cars, which are not available to N.H.S. patients, and of which 1,729 are on issue in England and Wales, but there is no other differentiation.
