§ 92. Mr. G. Thomas
asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the purchasing value of the £ sterling at the latest convenient date compared with its purchasing power in October, 1951.
§ Mr. R. A. Butler
The internal purchasing power of the £ is estimated to have been about 18s. 10d. in September, 1953, as compared with 20s. in October, 1951.
