§ Mr. Nugent16,780 growers had registered with the Apple and Pear Marketing Board by the last day for registration in respect of the initial poll. To make a reliable estimate of the total number of producers who would have been entitled to vote if registered would require detailed investigation which my right hon. Friend does not consider would now be justified.
