§ 63. Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will make a further statement regarding the defence conference that has been held in Lagos between representatives of Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the British West African Governments.
§ Mr. HopkinsonThe Defence Conference at Lagos between representatives of Her Majesty's Government and the four British West African Governments, of which I was Chairman, took place as arranged. A draft report containing a summary of the conference's work and its recommendations is now being studied by the participating Governments who will, I hope, be able to approve it in the near future.
