HC Deb 05 May 1953 vol 515 c13W
23. Sir P. Macdonald

asked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent the Crosland Mission gave any estimate of the total imports of the five countries they visited; and what percentage came from the United Kingdom.

Mr. Mackeson

My hon. Friend will find in the Report of the Crosland Mission which has been published today by Her Majesty's Stationery Office and copies of which have been placed in the Library of the House, figures for each of the five countries, of the total imports and of the imports from the United Kingdom over a number of years.

For 1951, the latest year quoted, the figures show that imports from the United Kingdom amounted to 4 per cent. of the total imports.
