HC Deb 19 June 1953 vol 516 c94W
Sir W. Darling

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is satisfied with the fuel prospects for autumn and winter in Scotland; and if appropriate steps have been taken to ensure that adequate winter stocks are available for consumption in Scotland.

Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

Steps are being taken to build end-summer stocks in Scotland as in the rest of the country to the highest possible level. The level achieved will depend mainly on the output of coal during the rest of the summer.
