§ Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenportasked the Minister of Transport the nature of the machinery involved in reaching a decision as to what investment ceiling should apply, respectively, to the railways and roads of this country; and what steps he proposes to take to ensure that a higher ceiling for road development is authorised in the near future.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe amount to be allocated for investment in railways and roads is determined by the Government after consideration of proposals submitted by all Departments concerned with capital investment. I shall continue to urge the need for adequate provision for road development.
