48. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Prime Minister what agreement has been made for the United Nations representatives to suspend the projected Korean political conference 90 days after it begins if the Communist representatives are considered not to be negotiating in good faith.

Mr. R. A. Butler

No such commitments or undertakings have been given on behalf of the United Nations or of Her Majesty's Government. The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs gave the House on 22nd July the substance of the letter written by President Rhee to President Eisenhower.
