Mr. Harold Daviesasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the long delay in the delivery of glass to horticulturists; and whether, since the horticultural glass industry is a monopoly in the hands of a firm, the name of which has been sent to him, he will refer the matter to the Monopolies Commission.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftMy right hon. Friend the Minister of Works is not aware of any difficulty in obtaining horticultural glass at present. In choosing matters for reference to the Monopolies Commission I shall, however, bear in mind the supply of flat glass.
