HC Deb 23 July 1953 vol 518 cc56-7W
55. Mr. E. Wakefield

asked the Minister of Education, after a development plan has been approved by her under Section 11 (4) of the Education Act, 1944, what steps she subsequently takes to authorise such amendments to the plan as prove to be desirable.

Miss Horsbrugh

The Education Act, 1944, does not provide for the formal amendment of a development plan which has been approved by the Minister. Where, however, local authorities have made desirable amendments to their plans in agreement with persons interested locally, neither my predecessor nor I have raised any objection.
