asked the Assistant Postmaster-General how many private and business applications for telephones are outstanding in Accrington, Rishton, Oswaldtwistle, Clayton-le-Moors and Church, respectively.

Six residential and 15 business applications are outstanding in Rishton. Separate figures for the other areas named are not available. They are all served from Accrington where 285 residential and 220 business applications are outstanding.
