§ 53. Mr. Gowerasked the Assistant Postmaster-General the number of applications made for the installation of telephones in Wales during 1952; the number installed during 1952; and the number of applications still outstanding at the most recent convenient date.
§ Mr. GammansFigures for Wales itself could only be obtained by special inquiry, but in Wales and the Border counties 13,993 applications were received and 12,269 telephones were supplied during 1952; 24,933 applications for telephones were outstanding at 30th June, 1953.
