asked the Minister of Food what further progress has been made with the plan to create a world food reserve

In November last the Council of the Food and Agriculture Organisation considered the report of a working party it had set up to examine the practical problems involved in the creation of an emergency famine reserve. The Council decided to appoint a "Group of Experts" to examine these problems further. This Group has now presented its report, which will be considered by the Conference of the Organisation in November this year.
