§ Miss HorsbrughMy approval is required under the Scholarships and Other Benefits Regulations of the Education Act, 1944, to the general arrangements made by local education authorities for assisting pupils to attend independent schools, but I do not require local education authorities to keep me informed of the extent to which they give such assistance.
