HC Deb 11 February 1953 vol 511 c48W
Brigadier Clarke

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations if his regulations provide that the Forces Family Pensions Scheme should apply equally to widows of officers and other ranks who served in the Indian Army.

Mr. J. Foster

Existing regulations do not provide for the inclusion of the Indian Army in any pensionary benefits sanctioned by Her Majesty's Government for the British Army, but I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that the widows of officers and warrant officers of the Indian Armed Forces whose pensions are governed by the same rules as apply to the corresponding British Services will receive the benefits of the new rules and regulations recently published.
