§ 94. Sir I. Fraserasked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will make a statement as to the steps which his Department is taking in co-operation with British Railways to investigate and remove the interference with television reception in Morecambe and Heysham arising from the Lancaster to Heysham electric railway.
§ Mr. GammansYes. The tests made by Post Office engineers in co-operation with British Railways have so far been unsuccessful; their scope has been limited by traffic on the line. I am glad to inform my hon. Friend, however, that British Railways have agreed to withdraw all electric trains from the line for periods on four days next week. I hope that this will enable us to trace the cause of the trouble and remove it.
