§ Mr. Edeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department the establishment and present effective strengths of the police forces for each of the cities of Birmingham, Bristol, Coventry and London, and for the Metropolitan police district; and, in respect of each of those forces, the net increase or decrease in their respective effective strengths during the period from 1st January, 1953, to 30th September, 1953.
