§ Mr. Adamsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish, as an addendum to each of the five Income Tax tables contained in the financial statement, a table showing the number of persons in each income group and the total value of the reliefs given to each group by the Budget proposals.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on 21st April, 1953, to the hon. Member for Stockton-on-Tees (Mr. Chetwynd), in which the numbers of taxpayers in various income groups and the aggregate value of the reliefs given to each group were shown.
