§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE DUCHY OF LANCASTER (VISCOUNT SWINTON)The total amount authorised for all forms of capital investment in the United States of America from 1st January, 1947, to 31st December, 1951, is estimated at about £30,000,000. This figure does not include profits retained with permission in their businesses by United Kingdom-owned subsidiaries already operating in the United States, for which figures are not available.
