HC Deb 04 March 1952 vol 497 cc42-3W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if the interested bodies in Scotland, which were invited to submit their views to him on the recommendations in the Report on Libraries, Museums and Art Galleries, published as a Command Paper in May, 1951, have yet so submitted their views on the important questions involved; whether he is yet in a position to state his conclusions on those recommendations and views; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

Mr. J. Stuart

All the bodies who were invited to submit their views have done so except the Town Councils of Aberdeen and Dundee. I am not yet in a position to make a statement of policy.
