Mr. N. Macpherson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many students who have taken degrees at Scottish universities are receiving grants from local education authorities in Scotland to attend full-time courses of study at Oxford and Cambridge; and what is the total amount of the grants concerned.

Two at Oxford and none at Cambridge. The amount of the grants is £263.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many students are receiving grants from local education authorities to attend full-time courses of undergraduate and post-graduate study, respectively, in Dominion and foreign universities, other than Eire, respectively.

Two are attending undergraduate courses and three are attending post-graduate courses at foreign universities. There are none at Dominion universities.
