HC Deb 21 February 1952 vol 496 c60W
111. Mr. F. Willey

asked the Minister of Education how many schools, work upon which was planned to begin in Sunderland during the next financial year, will not now be commenced during that period.

Miss Horsbrugh

The authority's 1951–52 programme consisted of three new primary schools, none of which has started, and their original 1952–53 programme of two more primary schools. I am in the process of discussing the revised 1952–53 programme with the authority, and I cannot yet say what new building will be begun in the next financial year.
