§ 58. Mr. Woodasked the Minister of Food whether he will distribute a greater proportion of the available supplies of sugar in an increased domestic ration and less for manufactured jams and confectionery.
§ Major Lloyd GeorgeIn order to maintain the present 10 oz. domestic ration I have already had to cut supplies to manufacturers. These cuts have not yet been fully reflected in retail supplies. I am not satisfied that any further redistribution of current sugar supplies would be to the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
