§ Major Lloyd GeorgeThe cost of imported and home-produced rationed foods sold for domestic distribution in the financial year 1950–51 was £385 million and £190 million respectively.
The estimated costs of distribution were:
Wholesale—£31 million (imported foods £24 milion, home produced foods £7 million).Retail—£93 million (imported foods £59 million, home produced foods £34 million).
